Why you should attend Pomona!

This is brilliant! Thank you.

Thank you snuffles. Pomona in 47 Charts is a great post!

I will add my two cents as a parent of a Sagehen Senior. The counseling and advising our son received the last four years from professors and the Career Development Office (CDO): [Events, Programs, and Services - Pomona College](http://www.pomona.edu/administration/career-development/students/career-exploration/events-progs-svcs.aspx) has been extremely beneficial.

Through the help of both the CDO and the Pomona alumni network, he participated in a mock interview, received help on his resume and had the opportunity to participate in the “Silicon Valley Real World Trip” described below in an excerpt from the Pomona College Spring E-Newsletter.

We are grateful for the incredible experiences and great education our son has received at Pomona. We are especially thankful that as of February 1st, he has a job following graduation.

Silicon Valley – A Road Trip to the Real World
Thanks to a partnership between the Career Development Office and the Major Gifts Office, a group of students had the opportunity in January to visit some of the leading technology firms in Silicon Valley. The tour included visits to Zynga, Trialpay, Google, and Kabam Inc. Silicon Valley is one of the most forward-facing, creative areas in the world and we are very fortunate to have dedicated alumni who are willing to share their experiences and host our students.

Career Service Staff believe real world trips help students learn a great deal more firsthand about their field of professional interest and gather contact information of several experts who are willing to continue a personal dialogue about how best to pursue various career paths. We hope to build upon the momentum of this venture with additional trips to explore other industries. Undoubtedly Sagehens will continue to pave the way for this next generation of talent.
