Visiting a liberal arts college over the summer can be a very disappointing journey if one goes expecting to see a lively campus bustling with students. LACs are by and large undergraduate-only institutions, so while a place like Penn State or Cornell will be hopping (more or less) throughout the year because of the presence of large numbers of grad students, LACs are likely to slow down considerably during summer break. I’ve heard Easton and the Lehigh Valley put down for being gritty post-industrial communities but never as “in the middle of nowhere.” The Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton metro area, while it never would be mistaken for NYC or the Balto-Wash metro, is home to more than 800,000 people.

^^^ Right, not to mention Easton is about a 1.5 hour drive to either NY or Philly, hardly the ‘middle of nowhere’. Maybe tfeduardo12 is confusing Lafayette with Bucknell or Colgate.
