lehigh or lafayette?!

I've been accepted to both and am having a difficult time deciding between the two. any suggestions?

From what I can tell, the academics are not all that different, except engineering stronger at Lehigh. Are you a male or a female? Quite a few more dudes than females at Lehigh.

We visited both - have you? I suggest overnight visits. I have a preference based on my personal prejudices... i suggest you develop your own. Lehigh is a lot bigger. It's a university, Lafayette is a classical LAC.

I also agree you should visit if you haven't, as the schools are very different in person. You might also want to look at the surrounding towns if you are interested in safety at all, especially lehigh. Congrats on both though, I'm sure you'll make the right choice...

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the engineering program at Lafayette.

Attractive Lafayette campus. Pretty neighborhood. So-so town but New York City and Philadelphia are barely more than 1 hour away. Fine academics.

i live in Northern New Jersey and I'm pretty close by, so I've visited both. I've always wanted a small, LAC, but I like Lehigh a lot... my only problems are lafayette is a little too small and lehigh has such a huge party scene- it really dominates the campus from what i've seen... where do you think i would get more attention as a student?

bump......

i visited both - applied to lafayette as a safety and scratched lehigh off my list. WAY to many hills lol.

But um, i think lafayette is a really nice campus - the dorms they showed during the tour were like palaces - and i fell in love with the government library. Lehigh looks nice but i remember one of the turn offs being some of the fugly class buildings that they don't show you on the tour that i stumbled upon while wandering.

id go to Lehigh. I think I'd prefer a midsize school over the LAC/
