Why you want to go to _____ college/university

<p>Just wondering what reasons other people have for going to a particular school. Personally, I'd really like to go Berkeley for the following reasons (in no real particular order)</p>

<p>-One of my best friends goes there. If I went there, we could continue going to SF Symphony and Berkeley concerts
-Another one of my best friends will be going to SF State, which is only about half an hour from Cal
-Excellent English program
-Late night food
-Optimal distance away from home (far enough to not have to live there, and close enough to come home just about whenever I want)
-This is a big one. The Golden State Warriors (NBA team) will be good next year, and probably end their 11 year playoff-less drought. If I go to another UC, I'll have to pay for NBATV to watch their games (and I'm poor). If I went to Cal, I could probably spend the money on actualy tickets to a game or two instead of just watching it on NBATV.
-Prestige
-The great college town atmosphere</p>

<p>hey deanzaholic! i go to foothill and berkeley's my #1 choice, too. i love the atmosphere. it's both stimulating and fun at the same time. i love that the campus is so active. i'm spoiled by the bay area and don't feel ready to leave just yet. </p>

<p>so yeah... econ & psych are my majors. considering attending haas for my mba in the future. </p>

<p>I totally agree with you about not wanting the bay area. The weather's mild and I'm just so used to it. Eventually I'd like to see the world and maybe go to college on the east coast, but for right now, the bay is where I want to be.</p>
