Hey there,

I was just wondering how much of the campus is covered by wifi? I understand most of the dorms don’t have it, unless you bring you’re own router, but what about classrooms (specifically the social science department), etc?

This is true. In dorms you will not be able to have wi-fi but many classrooms will have it.

Here is a current wi-fi map network on the UCD campus:

You can also go here and get a more detailed coverage map for each building by clicking on the map itself:

In the Tercero South dorms there is wifi.

I lived in Tercero South, but before the new buildings were finished. I have a friend who’s a freshman who lives in Kearney and I can guarantee you there is NO wifi in either of those buildings. There’s wifi in segundo and T1 ethernet in Tercero/Cuarto.

Tercero South is what us freshmen call Potter, Wall, and Campbell Hall. And there is wifi in these three buildings. Since Kearney and Laben are now “old”, they don’t get to be called Tercero South anymore. :)
