Wifi on Campus

Does anyone know how strong the wifi is? I am thinking of getting an iPad for watching Netflix or surfing the web but you cannot connect an iPad to Ethernet, it’s only wifi. Is the wifi strong enough to do stuff like Netflix or should I not get one?
Thanks!

Seeing as no one is answering this, I’ll give it a shot and give a simple opinion:

I’ve never had any problems with loading/downloading/connectivity issues with Eaglesecure (AU’s WiFi) and personally think it’s pretty fast. I’ve seen people use iPads in class and no one really seems to have a problem with it. I have an iPhone and videos load quickly so I think Netflix wouldn’t be too bad. I don’t have previous experience loading Netflix movies on an iPad if all you’ll need an iPad for is to load Netflix, I think you’ll survive.

Here’s an article about Eaglesecure being updated in 2010:
[AU Introduces Next Generation Wireless Network | American University, Washington D.C.](http://www.american.edu/americantoday/tech-tips/20100831-OIT-eaglesecure.cfm)

Hope this helped!

Thanks so much! I think that I will definitely get one now!

I’ve never had a major problem with wifi as well, but I have noticed sometimes in the middle of the day it is slower because of the large volume of people using it. This is only a major issue if you are trying to download something huge. Otherwise, have fun!
