Will a bad AP score in my chosen field impact my chances?

I really want to go the medical field, however after taking this year’s AP Bio test, I’m pretty sure I bombed it. My class barely glazed over ecology and graphs, which caused me to be terribly underprepared [why was the whole FRQ section ecology!? - so unfair]. How will getting a bad score on this exam affect my chances at getting into a top school since the subject is the one I want to major in? I have an A+ in the class otherwise and my GPA is high, plus I’m interning at a university doing bio research…

What should I do about this score? I haven’t gotten it back yet, but I’m predicting a 3 or below. Anybody else had to deal with this situation? Opinions?

Don’t worry about it. You don’t have to send your score to any schools. If you did, then they will see it and just think that there is a little grade inflation at your school, and that the AP classes are easy, but I don’t think it will be that big of a deal. AP Exams in terms of college admissions are used more for getting you college credit then showing who you are as a student, they don’t really matter tbh.

It has no relevance.

Nothing. You’re worrying over nothing at the moment. Wait until you actually get your score to assess your options. But the other poster are right; the AP score is high;y unlikely to make or break your application.
