Will a top school forgive minimal advanced classes freshman and sophomore year?

I had one honors course (year long, math) out of six classes last year and this year I MIGHT have one semester of honors math and advanced english. So 2 out of 7 classes and only one semester each. I know thats really bad but might they forgive it? Next year I plan for 5 of 7 classes to be AP. I'm talking Stanford and the Ivies. Any insight would be much appreciated, thanks!

If you’ve taken the most advanced classes that are available to freshmen and sophomores, colleges will understand. Different high schools have rules as to what underclassmen may take.

Depending on which APs you’re talking about, 5 APs is a lot. You might want to rethink that, especially since you’ve never taken one before. Crashing and burning with too many APs will impress no one. A total of 6 to 8 will usually be enough to impress top schools, so 3 or 4 next year should be enough.
