I just requested 4 exam scores to be sent to NYU using the regular delivery method. Will the scores be received on time?

I also included the exam scores on my Common app. If for some reason, NYU does not receive the scores directly from the college board, will my self-reported scores suffice?

AP scores do not need to be sent from Collegeboard.

Huh? What are you talking about?

In general, you don’t need to send AP scores to NYU directly from collegeboard as part of your application. I know I didn’t. I self-reported my AP scores from soph/junior years on commonapp, and nothing more. I’m just going to have them all sent once I finish taking this year’s AP exams in May.

However, since NYU is now accepting AP scores for admissions criteria in lieu of SAT/ACT, you may need to send those scores directly. Since you’ve already sent your scores, just go with it. There’s never a reason to rush report; I’ve heard it’s just a scam. You should have no problem with your scores being late.

Hope this helps!
