Just wanted to know that if I am otherwise qualified, will my selection to a United States sports team significantly improve my chances of being admitted to Stanford if I intend to continue playing that sport. Thanks!
If you are a potential recruit, yes. If not, it won’t really matter.
Are you being recruited by Stanford Field Hockey? That would help immensely. What has coach said to you? Otherwise, your spot on the US National Indoor Field Hockey Team is interesting and a strong accomplishment but only as it relates to how you can be part of Stanford’s team.
Basically, what has coach said to you? Therein lies your answer.
If you’re being recruited for the team and academically you’re strong enough to be a qualified applicant you’ll get in.
Don’t the recruits know already? They get a pink envelope, I believe.
