Will bad recs kill you?

<p>Excellent insights Pebbles...it hadn't even occurred to me that this could be the case. Admittedly, there are advantages to private schools as well (better education, access to teachers, teachers who care, better college counseling offices, and plenty of AP prep). The rampant grade inflation, extra-curricular activities inflation, and class rank inflation found at public schools certainly makes up for this difference. It's the nature of the two systems...they both have advantages and disadvantages...that doesn't give you a right to fake your owns rec 3.97.</p>
