IK, it depends on the style. Color is somewhat relevant, but not nearly as important as style. Are there elastics at the bottom of the legs? Are they a LITTLE bit short on you? If you answered yes to either of those questions, you look wierd. If not, and the pants are a little baggy and long on you, esp. if they have square shaped (NOT front-jean-pocket shaped) pockets, you're probably alright.

If they're nylon, it's probably not bad. That is, unless you tuck them in your socks, which I don't even think is possible. If they're cotton, forget it.

mine keep falling off when I wear them, so basically I want around holding them, and look like a compete idiot. Or if I'm too tired to hold them, I just let my boxers show :)
thus, I avoid sweatpants ...

my sophomore year.. a kid wore red sweat pants all the time to school at least once a week.. and when he walked down the hallway you could not miss him. he was in one of my classes and thats all i saw out of my peripheral vision...all class

so unless you are trying to stop traffic... don't wear red sweat pants

yeah most people will probably think you look weird wearing bright red sweatpants tucked into socks. but mainly because they're tucked into socks.
