dorm wardrobe

Do college kids buy clothes that are used only for the dorm and lounging? i usually just wear old t-shirts and pj bottoms around at home. should i buy some dorm clothes or is it not needed?

Nobodys going to care. Wear what you want.

would they care if it was a Robe and Boxers, and thats it?

i’ve seen a guy wear robe and boxers to a football game. most people in college look like complete slobs. wear whatever you’re comfy in, especially for lounging around the dorm.

… unless it’s totally inappropriate, like old sweatpants where the crotch is totally worn through. True story. But, yeah, wear what you’re comfortable in and isn’t totally embarrassing to you; no one cares if it’s completely ratty or out of style.

Hang out in sweats and t-shirts, or shorts if appropriate, and sleep in them as well.

Nothing worse than having to walk down 10 flights of stairs at 3 am when the fire alarm is pulled and you’re wearing a nightie.

Especially when there are boys walking down the stairs with you. And there will be, even though you live in a girls’ dorm.

Now, when I travel, I sleep in t-shirt and sweats, in case there’s a hotel fire and I have to run out the room quickly. Old habits never die.

idk i would stick with sweats and I thing appropriate pj bottoms would be alright

^ Love it when you can tell someone didn’t read the post! lol

One of my friends ran around in boxers (no shirt) for a while. We are all still scared from the experience. Aside from that people generally wore in the dorms what they wore to class. In most early morning classes you would see people wearing what they slept in (unless they had to present in suits). The only time I changed clothes after coming back from class was freshman year when my dorm had the central heat set to 80 or something insane like that and had to run around in shorts in the middle of winter.

actually atomiccafe i did read the post and someone suggested before me that she try wearing sweats and she herself said she lounged at home in pjs
