Oh…well, there you go. I would still recommend applying to some of those colleges. You’re in the average/low end of average with your scores, especially as an international student, but you still have a lot to offer, like I said before.
ALL of these are reaches due to selectivity and due to the fact you’re applying for financial aid. They’re all automatic reaches for all applicants, meaning that the regular odds for an international applicant who needs aid are about 1-3%. Since you’re very qualified, your odds increase to about 5 to 10%, but that’s still 90% odds at least you’ll be rejected. UC’s don’t have financial aid so even if you get in you’ll be unable to attend financially. Keep your fingers crossed (I assume you have back ups in Australia).
Your stats are awesome - test score, national recognition. Your martial arts awards are particularly impressive. You also have shown initiative in starting your own website so those are points to you. However, being international and applying for aid will hurt you - that said, from this profile you seem like a prime candidate from HYPSM.
I would be terrified for my chances if you don’t get into Brown, Duke and Penn, but as everyone knows, no one is a match for Stanford, Harvard, Yale or MIT (unless you cure cancer, or are an 18 year old billionaire). Also, Berkeley won’t give you aid as you aren’t a resident of California, so can your parent pay 55k?

I know I shouldn’t ask for anymore but what about Princeton?
Thanks
Like everyone else at this point, they’re 1 in 30. So, basically, prepare for a rejection even if you’re competitive for an admission.
@MYOS1634 Thanks
Stop bumping the thread constantly.
What are you trying to accomplish?
You’ve recieved some quality responses, likley it’s not what you want to hear but that’s life.
In summary: You have a good chance at some of these schools: UCLA, Berkely and almost no chance at the others: Yale, MIT. This is no personal reflection on you, it’s just that pretty much every unhooked candidate has “almost no chance” at these schools.**
** Where a 10% chance or less would be described as “almost no chance.”
Harvard- Reach
Stanford- Reach
UPenn - Low reach
Berkley- High match
MIT - Reach
Brown - High match
Yale - Reach
Columbia- Low reach
Duke- Low reach
UCLA- Match
Cornell- High match
These are all tough schools and being an international applicant may hurt some. With that being said, I think that a few of these schools will draw your ticket from the hat, lol. Good luck!
u will surely be accepted to all of them
Will my chances be reduced if I get a SAT score of around 2100 instead of 2300?
A little if you’re thinking of top 10 LACs/Universities, but the deciding factor will be the quality of your ECs… and your chances are very low to start with due to the very low admit rates (which are lower for interationals than in general - for a rough idea, divide by two at all private colleges you’re considering.)

Stanford- Low Reach
Pennsylvania - low reach
Berkley- high match
MIT - Low Reach

Probably, yes.
Wow–are you even a real person?! Your application is stupendous, and you have a great chance at ALL of these schools! I have never seen such a well-rounded resume. Good luck, and please post back here to let us know how it turns out for you.
