Will colleges care if one of my ACT section's is much lower than the others?

I have consistently scored really well (30+) on practice tests for english, reading, and science. But, my math score is always bad (fluctuates between 18-25). Will colleges reject me if I have a high ACT score (30+), but a bad individual score on a section like math? I went to an information session recently for Vanderbilt and the woman said they only care about the composite score, not each individual score. Do other colleges think the same about this?
