Will dual enrollment look bad to top 20 universities? Be honest

My school’s dual enrollment program allows us to take college classes in core subjects and take other APs as well. However, the program covers English and US history, so they replace AP English lang/lit and US history. Will selective universities look down upon this? My junior year is about to start and I am already enrolled in the program but I am really insecure about being viewed as less compared to students that took AP English/us history, but at the end of my HS career, I will take 5 or 6 APs. ( My school is an mediocre public school, so we lack AP classes)

Is there anyone who has gotten accepted into Ivy leagues/top 20 and did dual enrollment in HS ?

In general, the more you take the most rigorous options in high school, the better your record will look for college admissions.

However, acceptance of transfer credit from dual enrollment courses may vary by college. Dual enrollment courses taught on the high school campus are more likely to be rejected for transfer credit than those taken on a college campus, though even the latter are rejected by policy at some colleges.

But all college courses, including those taken while in high school (as dual enrollment or otherwise), are included in your college record if you later apply to transfer to a different college, or apply to graduate or professional school (e.g. law or medical).

Too many AP courses are mostly pseudo college courses, afaiac. Most DE is legit college classes (with some exceptions.)

You’re asking a lot of questions that show some broad confusion. Get a Fiske Guide to Colleges, figure out where you match (not just colleges you dream of,) what’s affordable. Google for some of the sites that explain what matters (just don’t fall for hype from pro’s out to sign you up for their $$ counseling.) And speak with your guidance counselor.

When you start to narrow down, read all you can that your possible college targets say about what they look for.
