Will Harvard look at individual grades or look at High School GPA as a whole?

I am a freshman in high school and I made some grades first semester that I am not especially proud of.

Algebra 2 Honors: A-
Journalism: A-
English 9: B+
PE: A
World Geography: A
Spanish 2: A
Biology: A-

I know that my grades above will not stand out to a school like Harvard but I was wondering if they calculate my high school GPA as a whole and evaluate me based on that or if they will look at my individual grades throughout all eight semesters of high school. Also, what GPA would an A- count as for Harvard and will Harvard take into account the rigor of the classes I took?

Thanks in advance.

You need to chill… I got into Harvard with a couple Of B’s. People get in with C’s. Besides, having all A’s will not guarantee a spot at Harvard anyway. Thousands of kids have straight A’s. Less than 2,000 of them will become a part of the Harvard class for their year.
Just do your best. You’re only a freshman, you shouldn’t even be worried about college options.
Where you want to go will probably change by the time you’re a senior.
Trust me.
Harvard wasn’t even on my radar until September of my senior year.
Good luck.

You have a single B and you’re now on the Harvard Admissions forum asking for advice? 1) A single B certainly doesn’t doom you and 2) why do you think other Harvard aspirants are particularly capable of guiding you or “chancing” you?

Dissect every word that @xoxhawja3xoxo just posted. Then come back in two years.
