I have applied to Indiana University yesterday. I want to major in Finance. Will I be able to enter Kelley as a Direct admit? My GPA is only 2.8 but my school's highest GPA this year is 3.3/4.0 my school uses a very harsh system and highest GPA has never crossed 3.5 but still every year students go to top unis Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, Georgia Tech, Upenn are common. I would like to ask will I be able to enter Kelley as a direct admit my SAT is also less 1200/1600 which is 70 less den dere requirement. I heard US universities give preference to International Students. One more question if I am not able to enter and take a risk of joining in the undergrad division then which classes do intended business major's typically take in the first year? and if I study like 3-5 h everyday will it be hard to get like A's? and normally are students able to enter Kelley after 1st year I have just realized this thing and I am confused whether I will be enter Kelley or not as I dont want to go Indiana if chances will be less as it is not recognized for other fields other than music and journalism which I have 0 interest in.

It may be too late in the year for freshmen entering in Fall 2013 to apply for petition to get into Kelley if their gpa and standardized test scores are not high enough for direct admission to Kelley. According to the website,

“The petition form for direct admission is now closed. For information on your petition status or other inquiries please email diradmit@indiana.edu.”

The 1200/1600 is likely too low for a successful petition anyway.

You might send an email to the Kelley direct admit email address above.
