Will I be able to get a job with his major?

So for next year, I’m majoring in Behavior and Health as part of the “pre-occupational therapy” track. So basically, I’d graduate with my bachelor’s and then go onto graduate school hopefully still at Boston University, since its the #2 OT masters program in the country.

However, BU’s reputation for grade deflation has me terrified. If I have a poor GPA for undergrad, aren’t my chances of getting into the masters program destroyed? And if that happens, will I be able to get a job with a bachelors degree in “Behavior and Health”?

I’m honestly considering changing my major, maybe to something business related with more job security. But I also don’t want to give up on a job I’ve been considering for nearly three years, and which I based my whole college admissions process off of.

BU gave me a great deal with 41.4K off, mainly consisting of a grant and some loans. I like BU a lot better than my other options, it’s a good school, reasonably close to my home, and in a great college town. My other option is the 5.5 year masters program at UNH, and I’d be paying only 11k a year with all the money I got off. But I would rather go to BU, a better ranked school in a better location.

So would that major be viable in the job market?

Thanks

Psychology Majors were one of if not the most unemployed majors during the recession, and Behavior and Health is pretty similar to psychology so I will let you do the math on this one.

The best option for you to do is to take a business major with a minor in B&H/Psych to complete the per-requisite courses than try to get in the masters program, then if you don’t get in you have a good degree to fall back on.
