<p>Okay so im going into my freshman year! I didnt get any AP or honors classes. Mostly because i missed alot of school for illness this year and my grades dropped. Can i still possibly be excepted as a pre-med student if i get advanced classes as a sophmore? I'm really worried because this is what i've always wanted to do and it really sucks! My health grade (100) and science grade (92.7) are good but my math grade is iffy. If not is there a place i can make up classes say i take a year off after high school to get courses finished?! I dont want to do that but if you gotta do it you gotta do it!</p>

<p>…Probably like 80% of the people actively on here are juniors, seniors or the parents of juniors or seniors and that’s why you see so many threads where people are stressing out. Also, the chancing thread is for people to post their stats once they have a significant set of variables addressed. NOT, “here’s two of my freshman grades, can I get into med school???” Sorry if this is blunt</p>
<p>If you want to do pre-med, you might want to look at accelerated programs; to do so, maintain a 90+ average, and score 2100+ on the SAT or 31+ on the ACT. Plus, shadow doctors if at all possible.</p>
