I'm a Sri Lankan student moving into Calgary to study engineering. I'm hoping to major in petroleum engineering in the second year. I'm currently holding a student visa and will most probably get a student work permit in the second year and a 3 year work permit after graduation. Under the current situation do you think I will find it difficult to get internships and jobs in petroleum Engineering in Canada.

If the oil sands stay the way they are and assuming you can communicate properly, have ok interview skills etc. You will not only find interships and a job but will be paid well.
