I just finished my junior year. I got a 2090 on my SAT and am about to take my ACT this month. I have a pretty low GPA,
about a 3.4. Also, I’m a dual credit student, meaning I’m completing 2 years of college in high school. I have few volunteering hours, but my high school requires 100 volunteering hours to graduate, so I’ll have those. I’ll also have 6 AP courses by the end of senior year. I also live in Texas near UTD (close enough to drive) and am an ethnic minority.
Any advice as to how to increase my chances of getting a full scholarship to UTD would be appreciated.
Thanks =)
Are you low income?
If so, then maybe you’ll qualify for some need-based aid.
What is your M+CR?
there’s little you can do now with your GPA being what it is. Retesting might help, but if the school requires a higher GPA, then that will be an issue.
Look here to see if any will work. Ignore the “closed” statements, that is likely for the current incoming frosh.

It looks like >1400 CR+M was the average number for the full tuition award last year.
They don’t tell average GPA but 3.4 is bound to be low compared to the average scholarship winner.
