Will i get a revoked admisson? (Senioritis)

Hi guys, I was admitted into NU but currently I have a D in my English class. I'm putting forth much effort to raise the grade up to a C range but it could be possible I will end up with a D in the class overall.

I have struggled with senioritis from the beginning of second semester but I never realized the gravity of the situation until recently being informed how colleges will revoke admissions for poor grades during the senior year. All I have heard is that NU will review applications of seniors who have either a D or F in any class.

Do you guys think I still have a chance to get in even though I get a D?
All my other grades are A's and B's and most likely I will most likely have a 3.4ish GPA.

US Gov (Regular)-B =)
Orchestra-A
AP Bio-B
AP Calc-B
Senior English (Honors)-D or C

I'm considering having my counselor write an essay to help sway the admission office. I really don't want to ruin my future because of this one flippin class...garrr darn u british lit. and my super laziness! I'm so stressed right now i can't even sleep cuz i'm thinking about it so much. Anxiety is all i feel these days. =(

Thanks for any replies

With a D it's possible, I guess. I've never really heard of anyone getting revoked, but I've never heard of a NU student getting a D their senior year either (if you can't manage a C in HS English...eek. NU is tough). Best of luck.

Study then, come on dude, its high school. That place's a joke. If you cant get a B in a high school class, you shouldn't be at NW.

just to verify it wasn't like i slacked off the whole time.
i was going strong the whole semester and getting an A- in the class but i freakin bombed the final essay which brought me down like no other. (20 points)

yeah, i agree ndhawk, high school is a joke and that's why i am graduating in a week and never returning.

pizzaman88, I hope that you pull your grade up to a C and that everything will work out for you, i'm sure it will be fine.

NOTE TO SELF: Northwestern's adcoms are dumbasses! I have a 107 in my English class and they denied me admission yet let someone in who has a D!?!?

OK, seriously, I was mad at Northwestern for like 2 days in April, but I'm over it. Seriously, good luck and I'm sure everything will work out in the end!

man, u must be a beast in english...honestly, i don't know how i get into this school. my stats are def not that great, i thank God all the time.

thanks max, i'm tryin hard, i think a C is def achievable.

My guidance counselor said that the only kid she knew who had his admission revoked (and couldnt get it back, no matter what) had a D in English... I don't know what school it was, but I wouldn't mess with them. I think with a C you'd be fine. GOOD LUCK!!!

for future reference ndhawk its "NU" not NW, NW would be the direction.

Snap... I am in a similar situation. Got a progress report in the mail today - DBBACBB and like three thousand absences. I hate high school. : ( Ironically, the A is in English.

I hope your grades are all doing better now.... As for mine I think I might end up with a D in math. Would that be grounds for being revoked? My other grades are all a's and one B (AP Bio). And the math class is BC Calc. I took AB last year and got admitted to NU early decision with a B. This really worries the hell out of me. Any opinion or other stories of kids getting revoked from NU would be greatly appreciated?

i heard that AP Calculus is the one class that no college will ever revoke admission for, it was in some popular college guide, they realize how tough that class is
