Will I get any scholarships?

Junior
around top 18-19% [153/850ish] rank will -defintely go up
GPA 89 (unweighted) - defintely will go up
No honors or AP, took all CP classes besides 2 which were electives
Taking 2 AP's next year though
Sats 1110/1670- retaking and should score around 1800 maybe higher
I also plan on taking some SAT II's but I don't know if it matters..

Will I get any scholarships from rutgers?

no......... You need like a 1400/1600

I think not... If you don't have at least a 1300 out of 1600 you're not gonna get anything. I had a 1240/1930 with a 3.7uw/3.9w and didn't get anything. There are a ton of instate people who think Rutgers is extremely easy to get into, but it's really not. They only give money to top applicants.

You'd need at least a 1400 to get anything, at this point I think. Not to be rude, but with an 1100, 3.0 and no honors classes you should be more worried about getting into Rutgers, not getting a scholarship from them.

Since when is 89 a 3.0? (It's unweighted) I know, I sort of messed up on the SATs, I know I'll do a lot better next time, because I'll be more relaxed and getting more then 3 hours of sleep. I didn't take like basic classes..I took College prep..
My friend has a lower sat score and grades then me and her counselor said she'll probably get into rutgers. =/

I'm instate if that makes a difference. I'm sort of shocked, I thought I would get into the New brunswick campus. (I know it's not easy to get into)

Sorry if i was too harsh, it was probably unnecessary. Anyway, yea an 89 isnt a 3.0, its more of a 3.5 i suppose. You shouldn't worry about getting in as long as you bump up the SAT a bit and you end up taking those AP courses next year.

No, no it's okay, I've been slacking a bit 3rd marking period so that was a wake up call :)
I'll defintely get a higher SAT score next time (what do you think I should aim for?] and I already got scheduled so there's no way out of the AP courses.

aim for a 2100

also you really need to boost your class rank. I didn't really think Rutgers took Class rank that seriously until I didn't get any scholarships from them (I had a 1340 SAT score). You need to be in the top 10 at least

I got 10 thousand a year,
1320 SAT, 3.8 GPA, TOP FIFTH
If you are instate you are definately in

my daughter received 17K President's scholarship - 1510 SAT' s I think did it

how important is it to take honors/AP classes??

I got 10K a year. I am in the top 27% of my class, have an unweighted GPA of 3 and SAT of 1390/1600

I took LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of APs though
