Hello,
I have already applied for temple's nursing program, but i have not receive any notice. what are my chances?
My stat
1. rank 10/325
2. im doing sat optional, so no need for sat
3. unweighted gpa is 6.74/7, weighted 3.82/4
4. i have at least 8 extracurricular activities
5. i have my english ap teacher and latin ap teach writing my letters of rec. (they have known me for 2yr +)
6. i volunteer as a TA for a chinese school, and i also do community service whenever i can and i have proof
7. i take all ap and honor classes.

so what do you guys/girls think?
will i get in?
im mean temple accepts 80/1200 ppl. it seems harder than getting into an ivy league. but thing is that are all of the 1200 ppl have the higher or same stats as me or are they in the lower ranks (no offense or anything). it seems really competitive compare to other schools.

thank you in advance.

btw if you or anyone u know got into temple or drexel , can u give me a general sense of their stat and how long for them to get their acceptance. much appreciated. :)

I got in. I applied on the 31st and got accepted on the 8th.
I’m in the top 33% of my class. There are 400 something in my class, I can’t remember the exact number.
My highest SAT superscored is 1860 or 1340 on a 1600 scale.
Weighted gpa is 3.8, unweighted is 3.2.
I have a lot of extracurriculars too including sports and volunteering.
I had my english teacher from last year and my AP Calc teacher write recs.
I TA for AP US History.
I take all AP and Honor classes too.

Just an fyi, they review the Temple Option Essays separately so it’s going to take longer for a decision.

id be suprised if you did not get in. the only thing i don;t know teh answer it how hard the nursing program is to get into. Your gPA and class rank are great which leads me to believe you should get into nursing program. for general admission, you should be fine. if u took tests and they are in scholarship range, it would not hurt to sumbit them unless u think they are low for nursing school.

well, the 650 is actually quite good. But i do agree with u that your SAT scores understates ur abilities given the rest of your stats. and i had a 550 verbal score a long long time ago, did great in college, got into a premier grad school, and i write for a living. So don’t beat yourself up over your scores. They are better than you are giving yourself credit for as you were likely shooting for a 2400.

I got accepted last week, I applied November 19th and heard back December 5.
My SAT was math-660 CR-600 writing-580
GPA-3.71 weighted
I am in three extracurricular clubs with two leadership roles and I also have had a job for 2 years
I will have taken 6 total AP and honor courses and my senior year courses are rigourous

d received email today saying they will take a “second look” at her application and notify her by April 1st. It also said she could be wait listed. Not an encouraging email. She has other options but temple was way up there for her. I think we need to visit some of the places she did get in and assume temple is pretty much out.
they put me on hold too. but i m not going to even care. they turned away a student who is in the top 5% of the class, and with a lot of extra curricular activities (me). drexel’s stats are better, i will be pursuing in nursing anesthesia, drexel is ranked 41 while temple is the hundred.
I’m also top 5% (#3), and #2 and #5 of my school all applied for nursing and we all have been put on hold. Everyone I talked to who applied to nursing seems to be on hold. I wouldn’t give up just yet, but hey Drexel is a great school. Nurse Anesthesia will be my area of study too!
