MY SAT SCORE = 2010
MY SAT2s:
BIO = 660
MATH 2 = 620
US HISTORY = 640

Extracurriculars:
Co-chair of the chess team
Rutgers model congress for 2 years
part of asian cutural club in my school
part of JSA
have 54 volunteer hours

i dont know if this particular fact helps but im the only person in my school taking multivariable calculus as a senior in my school

AP's: 5 on all of them

will i get in?

Your SAT score is good, but your GPA and class rank is not. Although you have taken a pretty rigorous course load, I will have to say that getting into Michigan is a reach. If you are taking more AP’s your senior year that would be ideal. If you do apply, make sure that you get almost perfect grades your first semester in the event that you get deferred.

That’s your weighted GPA isn’t it? I can’t imagine how someone with that many Cs gets a 3.6 without it being heavily weighted. And I’m just going to assume you’re in state and even being that, you don’t have a shot at getting in. Michigan does not accept students who get Cs like that. I mean you got a C in just about every single one of your AP classes. Also Michigan doesn’t factor APs when they consider you so those 5s mean just about nothing in terms of admissions. And the only As you have are in phys ed and health. Your SAT scores are merely average for Michigan admits and your ECs are very average as well. You would probably even be a lower MSU student with those grades. There is no chance you get in. Your GPA is like 3.0 (UW) and to make matters even worse, you have a downward trend. Even if you can somehow get a 4.0 this semester, which given your grades doesn’t seem likely at all, you would still be rejected. You need to have at least a 3.7 (UW), which means you need to be averaging A- at least in all your classes to get into Michigan. I’m sorry but you need to try for easier schools.

If this is Marlboro High School NJ then, no, you are in way over your head…and change your profile (or something); it is way too obvious for people to figure out who you are…

Try Indiana if you want big, midwest, rah-rah…much more in line with your grades…maybe

and yes, to the above poster, this is a weighted average for the OP and Marlboro adds tons of points for their weighting…the OP’s unweighted is prob around 3.0 if that…

I agree with rodney.

how are you going to be taking multivariable when you haven’t even had calc2 yet?

most multivariable calc classes don’t use much of the stuff traditionally taught in calc 2 besides integrals. but yeah, it’s still kinda weird that he’s skipping calc 2…

your high school class has 2000+ people in it…? that’s huge

well if he truly is skipping calc2(which i would advise against) you MUST become familiar with the integration by parts theorem

its not hard but it helps a lot
