MY SAT SCORE = 2010
MY SAT2s:
BIO = 660
MATH 2 = 620
US HISTORY = 640

Extracurriculars:
Co-chair of the chess team
Rutgers model congress for 2 years
part of asian cutural club in my school
part of JSA
have 54 volunteer hours

i dont know if this particular fact helps but im the only person in my school taking multivariable calculus as a senior in my school

AP's: 5 on all of them

will i get in?

GPA low, SAT lowish, SAT2 low, Weak ECs…

To be honest, I wouldn’t count on it without any major changes to your application.

I really don’t think AP scores really matter either…

Sorry to be somewhat of a dream crusher, but you will need some major application improvements before you have a realistic chance.

You’d be rejected fairly quickly. Most successful UCLA applicants are among the top 10% of students in their schools and receive As in the majority of their core classes - in three years of attendance YOU DON’T HAVE ANY As, aside from Health (which I’m guessing is an elective). Sure, your course load is rigorous, but it means nothing if you are unable to demonstrate a propensity to tackle that workload successfully.

Your test scores and SATs are also mediocre at best, and they won’t help your application. Aim your sights much lower when applying to schools.

You’re going to be rejected. Your SAT is slightly below average but your GPA is just far too low. The average admitted UCLA student has a 4.38 WGPA. There’s really no place for C’s on a transcript.

I don’t want to scare you, but you probably won’t even make the midtier UCs. You should have taken less AP classes and more ordinary classes. At the end of the day, a B in a normal class is better than a C in an AP class. Colleges do look at unweighted GPA and you have lower than a 3.0 in junior year. (PE doesn’t count when most colleges recalculate your GPA.)

@sentimentGX4 I got a full ride to ucla and my sat score was 1810 and i surely wasnt in the top 10% of my class either…

The OP’s not top 10%. He’s top 45% by weighted GPA.

Swap that around to unweighted GPA and he’s probably bottom 45%. That statistic is dismal for the entire UC system.

im sorry man but it doesn’t look like you’ll get in.

you got no chance at all.

I think your weakest aspect is your GPA. You should really focus on that and focus really hard on 1 or 2 strong ECs.
I didn’t have the highest SATs mid 1800’s but i took alot of hard AP classes and got A’s in most and 1 or 2 B’s here and there.
I also focused on Mock Trial and had 200~300hrs of community service and 4yrs of Volunteer club membership.
I’ve heard from many that UCLA looks more at GPA than SATs because SATs are so easily influenced by financial background. Subject test could be higher though, they show admissions that you have strong points a specific few subjects.
I had a 740 spanish and 680 chemistry

@sentimentGX4, I had a C in a honor/weighted class my sohpmore year and I’m in lol.

But, yes definitely got to push for high grades senior year, write a stellar personal statement, go volunteering or something for great Ecs, improve your SATs. You have a long way to go, but you might do it and you might get into UCLA. You’re 5’s on your AP and the fact that your taking multivariable calculus as a senior may help you, slightly, but your GPA and class rank hits you down pretty hard. Good Luck and even if you might think that you won’t get into UCLA, even if you work hard, Working hard as a senior may help you get into another great UC.

your SAT score is below avg (if not average). Your GPA is very low, and your extracurriculars are pretty ordinary for a UCLA student. Your chances are very slim… hate to break it to you. AP scores also almost don’t play any role in admissions.

you effed up your junior too BAD. Too many Cs. As a result, low UC GPA.
