The NYU Office of Financial Aid would like to ensure that all of your documents needed for financial assistance review are fully prepared in the event you are offered admission. Admission decisions will be finalized and released via email later this month. If you completed the CSS Profile by the February 15 deadline we need additional information to help us retrieve your CSS Profile.

I haven't just received an email from NYU since ages. Just received one about financial aid with the paragraphs anove. I saw
everybody already all kinds of merit aid. Do they send this out to everyone? I'm desperate for any signs of admission.

I’m sorry to disappoint you but the email clearly says:

Anyway good luck with the admission process I’m currently as anxious as you.

I didn’t even apply for financial aid and I got the same email…what’s up with that?

@IBDiplomaVictim you probably got it BECAUSE you didn’t apply for financial aid. It’s probably sent to those who have incomplete aid information to make sure that you didn’t mean to/remind you that you didn’t apply for aid… hence why it says they want to make sure all your aid documents are ready incase you are admitted.

I didn’t get that email and I didn’t apply for financial aid either. I’m slightly concerned about the implications of not receiving one in regard to my possible admission :s
