I know chance me threads are SO annoying, but I’ve realized how close I am to applying and I am freaking out!
I am a gay 17 year old aspiring writer, and I love Boston, so Emerson is my top choice.

GPA- 3.5

SAT- 1260 but retaking

Subject tests- 740 out of 800 in Literature

Clubs and extracurriculars-
- Classical and Humanities academies
- 4 years writing club
- Co founder and co president of Activision club
- 4 years student government as Executive Committee
- Dancer and student choreographer for 2 high school plays
- I’ve danced with the same studio for 14 years
- Assistant dance teacher for 4 years

Awards-
- First place in city wide writing contest freshman year
- Scholastic regional gold key sophomore year
- First place and honorable mention in neighboring town’s writing contest junior year
- Scholastic regional gold, silver, and bronze key junior year
- Scholastic national silver medal junior year

Classes-
AP European History, AP Lit, AP Chemistry, AP US history
Senior year- AP Lang, AP stats, AP environmental, AP Government

What can I do to improve, and what chance do I stand of getting in? Thank you so much.

Honestly, I think you have a REALLY good chance of admission with a good amount of aid because your course rigor, awards, and extracurriculars make your application stand out and I heard the EA acceptance rate was around 60% last year so if I were you I wouldn’t even sweat it :slight_smile: also ur SAT is within their range as is and your GPA seems pretty good considering you’ve taken 8 APs so it all balances out
