I applied early decision to Columbia this year. I ranked 7th in my class. I had a cumulative GPA of 3.9 weighted. I received three letters of recommendation from Columbia professors for classes that I took at Columbia while in high school. I was active in my school community and was class president for 3 consecutive years, and i wrote a killer personal statement. The only thing that sucks is my 25 on the ACT. i sent all three score reports though and if you take the best of all three sittings then my composite is 28, but idk i they do that lol. Do i have a chance of getting in? btw the recommendations were really good so i'm hoping that helps!
Thanks.

They say there’s no minimum ACT/SAT, but I REALLY doubt you’re going to get in with a 25.

you never know though. colleges look at what you HAVE not what you LACK, and sometimes they acknowledge those who are bad test takers. I mean believe it or not a 25 on the ACT is still average (definitely not on college confidential though)

I’m not saying you definitely won’t get in, and definitely apply. I just feel like it’s not gonna make for the best case. Especially because you took it 3 times and got a (I’m assuming from what you said) 25 each time. If you had taken it once, gotten a 25 and then gotten a 30 the next time, it’d be a little different. Bear in mind, I’m not accusing you of being dull or anything of the like, I’m just trying to be as truthful as I can with the knowledge I have.

Quit beating around the bush people, unless he’s a minority he has no chance.
