Your joint enrollment results are an asset, but for 2010, the 25th percentile on SAT was 1900 and on GPA was 3.72. At 1730 and 3.3 / 3.5, you’re well under that. You have to assume that some recruited athletes, URM applicants, or students with remarkable non-academic accomplishments receive many of the exceptions that fall into the lower quarter of admitted students.

OK If I were to be rejected do you think I could take another semester at my Dual Enrollment college and transfer in the spring semester. I guess what I am asking would it be a shoe in type scenario. I have heard it is easier to transfer.

I don’t know - GT has a page of admissions info for transfers:
[Georgia Institute of Technology :: Undergraduate Admission :: Transfer Requirements](<a href=“Blow the Whistle! (404 error: page not found) | Undergraduate Admission”>Blow the Whistle! (404 error: page not found) | Undergraduate Admission)
but not a page of stats for admitted transfers.

academics aren’t stellar they are a bit below average but your EC’s seem pretty legit to me. If you really emphasized that… i’d say your in

gt is starting to get tougher on admissions decisions. i have a few friends who have taken every possible ap class, gotta 1900 on their sat and hold a handful of cs hours but also got deferred. just hope your essays were stellar. gt just wants to see that you have the potential to be a great leader who values diversity. best of luck.

not with the Common App you won’t. :)

I was wait listed. It has an area for me to fill in any thing I would like to say to the school. What kinds of things should I write?
