I am a sophomore in high school. NYU is my absolute dream, and I want to know how I could be bettering my chances of getting in. I am in IB and have a 4.75 weighted GPA (out of 5) and a 3.8 unweighted. I haven’t taken the SAT or ACT yet. I play varsity field hockey for my school, and club field hockey year round. I am on student government as a reperesentive and next year a leadership position. I have been volunteering for the past two years at a Childrens Hospital, am a member of FCA, IB Council, NHS, and have founded my own school club that fights human trafficking through raising awareness and volunteering, as well as hosting donation drives. I work as a lifeguard during the summers and this summer am a Marketing Intern for a organization in town. I feel like this is all very bland (except for founding my own club). What can I do to stand out? How can I better my chances of getting into NYU. Please help. Thank you!!
you seem like a great applicant! Make sure to do well on your SAT/ACT and focus your ECs more to better show your passion/what you want to do for the rest of your life!
