<p>I am about to be a senior in high school next month, and i am really nervous about whether or not i will get into my preferred college. I got a 2150 on the sat, with a 680 CR 730 math and 740 writing. i also am pretty much an A-B student, and the reason why my GPA is as low as it is (3.4 unweighted and 3.7 weighted) is because i got 2 C's in freshman year (french and LA) but fortunetly i haven't gotten any since as it has been all A's and B's from then on. I also have about 100 hours of community service, am an officer for the junior civitans club for my school, and have good sports participation in both the highschool V-ball and track teams. I also took the Math 2 Sat and got a 750. However, the problem is that i got suspended for 2 days in my sophomore year (December 2010) for punching another student after a temporary lapse in judgement. We were actually decently close, but he made an ill-advised personal joke that was way beyond limits, and even after i told him to lay off he continued pestering me. I immedietly regretted my actions, and i will be sure to explain that in the college essay. So basically my question is can i get into the Rutgers engineering program at NB with my current credentials?</p>
<p>You have a great chance although I don’t know how selective their Engineering program is.</p>
