I am so happy to have gotten into my dream school NYU Gallatin ED1. However, during my first-semester senior year, I got 2 C-.4 b-,3 B, 2 A-. My grandfather passed away and I missed about a month of school dealing with the loss. Should i be worried about getting rescinded? I am paying full tuition and was definitely a very strong applicant when I was accepted earlier this year. What will happen???
Explain it to them
They already know because my grandfather was an alumni
Don’t assume they know. Have your counselor write a note when they submit the mid-term grades.
Follow up after with your own explanation.
So sorry for your loss. I understand my older daughter passed away unexpectedly when finals and AP exams were starting. My son ended up missing the exams to be with us during that time. He did complete his finals, but it was really tough with all the family staying with us.
