Will I get rescinded if my final transcript does not match my planned courses?

Hey guys,

So I was recently checking out how to send in my final transcript when I realized that I did not inform the university that I had added 1 more course after I submitted my application. So now I’m actually taking 4 instead of 3 classes.

I mean, I guess having an additional course is better than having dropped one. But my concern is that it is this additional course that I’m probably going to get the lowest grade in among all my classes, so will the university see this as me trying to hide the fact that I’m taking this subject?

Don’t sweat this one. As long as you aren’t failing, the last semester senior year course grades do not matter to the vast majority of colleges,

If you applied to the UC system, it is possible

Regardless of where you applied, you should shoot admissions an email updating your course schedule. Better safe than sorry.

@Gumbymom @3puppies I see… Thank you very much

@beepybeetle does it make a large difference if I did? I didn’t apply to the UC’s btw… the university that I’m referring to in my post is NYU

You could anonymously call admissions and ask.

I think the users above are missing the point that the OP added a class. While it is true that you should (and most colleges require it) notify colleges of changes in your schedule, I really really really doubt that they will care. Just send them an email. “Just wanted to let you know that I added XXX course. I’m so excited to join the class of 2021. Sincerely, Brendan.” Keep it short and simple. If NYU has an issue, they will contact you. But they won’t. However, nobody likes surprises, so keep a step ahead of it.

@skieurope hmm I think I will email them soon… Thank you so much!
