Final Transcript doesn't really match my Common App "planned courses"?

Hi all,

I was admitted to NYU recently and as per standard requirements, will have to submit a Final Transcript soon. However, I realized that the 3 subjects I listed down as “planned courses” in my Common App back when I submitted the application does not really match the courses I am actually taking in this semester.

I listed down Macroeconomics, Physics, and College Writing II, but my school changed the timetable after I submitted the application, and all 3 courses were clashing. I could only take 1 of them, so I took Macroeconomics, Differential Equations, and Spanish.

Is this going to have any effect on my enrollment? Sorry if this is a silly question, I couldn’t find any info on this topic and I’m really worried because NYU is my dream school and I really wouldn’t want anything to happen.

It is really doubtful that a change in courses would have any impact on your admission status. Universities understand that just because courses are “planned” to be taken doesn’t mean it’s always going to work out. As long as you did well in the classes you did take you should be fine but if you’re really that worried about it email the admissions office and I’m sure they will have an answer for you.
