Like the title says..i have been admitted to UDub seattle for fall 2014. right now my projected grades are 4 As, 2 Bs, and 2 Cs for 2nd semester. but there is a good chance that one of my Bs will become a C.

so worst case scenario, would i get rescinded for having 4 As 1 B and 3 Cs?? my semester GPA would then be a 3.125. i know its bad lol. all but two of my classes are APs, and the classes i'll receive Cs in are AP classes.

if i dont get rescinded, are these grades grounds for any other sort of punishment? ive worked hard all through HS, just took too many tough classes this year..

Thanks everyone

nobody? should i just assume that i WON’T and carry on like usual? does this warrant a letter of explanation? my classes are insane. regret taking them but its obviously too late for that now.

@gr33nbottl3 I had a similar discussion with admissions about my transfer application. They said that unless you seriously mess up your grades after applying, then they usually won’t do anything. As a caveat however, I had to apply for general admit for UW and then apply for my intended major at the start of that quarter.

Based on what I know, if you are applying for direct admit or concurrently with a specific department that is competitive, then there may be some issues. If you are applying as a freshman however, then it probably isn’t an issue unless you seriously screw up—which I don’t think you did.

Overall, I think you’ll be fine; just don’t get D’s or F’s.

ok, thank you!! that makes me feel a lot better. i was admitted as a freshman for pre science, but not contending for a DA to compsci or anything like that. so 3 Cs isn’t a huge deal, right? i will definitely do better when i start in the fall haha.

I talked to them too. I have 1 W second semester (medical reason). They are OK with it.

Hey man, sorry for the late response. yea i think we’ll be fine!

Here is something i found online that talks about rescinding policies for UW http://www.pacrao.org/docs/conferences/2012/presentations/B1_RescindingAdmissionBasedOnFinalTranscripts.pdf

there is a chance one of my 3 Cs may drop to a D (it is an AP class), but according to the presentation ^ above, what i might get is a “soft” warning letter…should i write the admissions people anyway or kinda stay quiet? I know UW is truly lenient compared to other public schools when it comes to this. and a “soft” letter is not academic probation right? thanks again everyone
