Will I get revoked?

It's been around 2-3 weeks now that I got my acceptance to UIC (my top choice). However, I am worried that I will be revoked. My GPA was a 3.1 and I had a 27 ACT. However, this past semester I failed two classes and ended up with a 1.8GPA. I also struggled my last semester of junior year where I had a 2.33GPA. Will I get revoked, and if so when will I know?

I would contact UIC as soon as possible and find out. There’s definitely a good chance you could be revoked. Maybe explain your situation (whatever that maybe if any)? Try your best to get good grades the rest of senior year. I’m sure that’ll help.

Call them immediately. Be proactive about this. It will show some maturity which may help.

you should go to your HS counselor and work with her/him to see where you stand and what can be done. Assuming there is any leeway, they will at least want a letter of explanation. Left to their own devices many HS kids come up with letters that try to evade responsibility, so a good counselor will make sure your letter reflects a mature approach to the situation.

Do not delay in contacting them! If you are going to get revoked you are better off finding out know rather than later. You will have far fewer alternatives if you wait until they review your final transcript over the summer. And at this point perhaps they can work with you, such as having you repeat the classes over the summer; again, an option that disappears if you wait until they review your final transcripts.
