I know my scores are on the low side, but I’m a hard working student who would enjoy a rigerous academic atmosphere. The schools I'm thinking about applying to are JHU, UPenn, CMU, BU, Rutgers,Columbia, Brandeis,Cornell and GW.

I hopefully will get into Rutgers (I live in NJ), but wanted to know if I'll get any merit aid/scholarship and how much?
Thanks
E.

i'm pretty sure scholarships are mainly based on sat scores and rank. your sat scores aren't too high, so i'm not sure what you would get.

You will make it into the Honors Program with those scores (your high rank helps you a lot). The honors program has nothing to do w/ scholarships, but it provides a lot of benefits. rchonors.rutgers.edu

Here is the rubric for how much money you will get: <a href="http://admissions.rutgers.edu/080101.asp#1%5B/url%5D">http://admissions.rutgers.edu/080101.asp#1</a></p>

This is all for Rutgers College though.... I know Douglass gives out more money on top of that for lower scores but I assumed you were aiming for RC.

wow, thanks for ther website and the replies! :)

ahh i was looking for that site too.. haha.

good luck eeemillee!

So that's the max you can get? They don't offer any full tuition or anything like that? What about the Pharmacy program? Do they have more aid/merit awards available there for first-year students?

I ask this for OOS applicants. =\ I'll be applying this fall as OOS for their pharmD program.

we won't know the maximum amount you can get. i highly doubt you'll get a full-ride being an out-of-state student though.

rutgers is VERY cheap, even for out-of-state students. just apply and don't worry so much about tuition costs. once you graduate from the pharmacy program, you should be well-aware that you'll be making like 80k starting.

Well, yeah, but it's still crazy having to owe ~75,000 after graduating. I guess it's better than some schools. Lots of merit aid, but also higher tuition.

This is off topic, but i've applied to Rutgers with a very low cumulative GPA score and got rejected. I called and asked them if it was possible for them to take me off their system since I got rejected. They told me that it was indeed possible - just need a letter of consent. If I wanted to start over as an incoming freshman, will that be possible? or will they still have a tag on me?
