Will I get selected

I am from India
I really want to go to Harvard
I was the school captain in 10th grade
I did nothing much in tenth grade
I am doing an internship online
I have done MUNs
I am in the process of launching an app
I do not get much time as I am studying for medical entrance exam in India
Do you think I will get selected
How can I boost my application

If you’re going to Harvard (or your safety school) for an undergraduate degree before you go to medical school, why do you need to study for a medical entrance exam? If you want to go to Harvard, you’re going to have to prioritize getting into Harvard.

You’re going to need near-perfect grades and test scores to start.

Then outstanding accomplishments in your school and/or community that show leadership and initiative, not just showing up. And, “but I was studying for medical school” is not an excuse. In America, studying as your primary extracurricular and not participating in the community will make the admissions people worry that you will not participate in your college community either. American universities value lively, active campuses, and students working together and exchanging ideas both in and out of class. If you spend your time in front of books and a computer, that doesn’t make for a lively campus.

Then you’re going to need killer essays of the type used in the American system (read the Harry Bauld book or something similar). And great letters of recommendation.

Finally, you will need a certain amount of luck, as Harvard is a reach for everyone. Fortunately, the work you do towards getting into Harvard will serve you well in applying to other universities as well.

I stopped reading after that first sentence, as only 22 students from India are currently attending Harvard College – the undergraduate school: http://www.hio.harvard.edu/statistics.

That means Admissions accepts, on average, about 6 students a year from India. When you apply to Harvard, you will be competing against the best-of-the-best students from India for one of those 6 slots. From your post – and I’m reading more from the “tone” of it rather than the content – it doesn’t sound like you think of yourself as one of India’s very best scholars.

If that’s the case, may I suggest you try The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign: https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2015/01/07/u-illinois-growth-number-chinese-students-has-been-dramatic

Why?

What is it about Harvard that makes you really want to go there?
What do you know about it?
Do you know where it is located and the winter weather?
Why Harvard?
