Will I lose my Cal Grant?

My FASFA was successfully processed on 1/18/2017 and so was Cal Grant award. However, I went back onto my FASFA and edited the schools that would receive my financial aid on 4/11/2017. My question is, will I lose my Cal Grant because I resubmitted my FASFA-- past the deadline for Cal Grant (March 2)? My original submission for FASFA was processed in October 2016, so will my newly corrected FASFA reset my application date, causing me to technically submit FASFA past the “Cal Grant deadline”?

You said that the FAFSA was processed on 1/18/17. You are allowed to make corrections to it after the March 2nd deadline. There is a change form.

So when you updated it, today, it shouldn’t affect the fact that you entered it before the deadline.

Please keep in mind that any changes to your school (for example, changing from an independent college to a community college), living arrangement (moving from the dorms to your parents’ house), changing your course of study (pursuing a bachelor’s degree instead of a vocational certificate) may affect your eligibility for a Cal Grant. Before you make any changes, please talk to your college’s financial aid office to see if these changes may affect your eligibility for a Cal Grant.
