I think he has a pretty legit chance for LA, the others would be slight reach/reach.

okay, i should be able to give you a decent chance here…since we have a very very (really scary-like) similar situation (from the GPA/SATs right down to the national merit! and of course…the korean-ness xD)

first of all, retake those SAT IIs. korean DOES NOT count at all (i mean honestly…i bet u prepped about…i dont know, 10 mins for that test?). and that 670’s looking really weak. if u got new SAT II scores, u should post it on here so people can use that…UCs seem to take SAT II’s somewhat seriously.

GPA: low. hopefully, u had a lot of B’s in freshman year (at least for the UCs…) so that they dont count. if not, you’re looking at almost an automatic reach for cal/LA unless you found a cure to cancer or something. also, those privates are very selective; a 3.65 wont set you apart from other applicants (also, you’re asian…no explanation needed, i hope). for the chances, im going to assume that you have a UC GPA of around 4.0, since you dont provide that

nice SATs. dont send that ACT score; save a few bucks. well above avgs for UCs and very competitive for privates.

nice ECs. very well-balanced, although nothing’s really spectacular.

so the chances…keep in mind that the UCs are mainly STATS ORIENTED… after all, they do get about 50000 apps per year (UCLA, at least). USC tends to do that as well, to some degree, while rice and northwestern dont (compared to the UCs)

UCB: low reach; in-state doesnt matter here if you dont have the GPA that can be considered as competitive…
UCLA: low reach; just as much of a crapshoot as UCB
USC: high match
rice: low reach
NU: low reach

LOL you go to PEN?..

friday’s game was the saddest day of my high school career. :(

In at USC probably

chance me

The Korean really does mean nothing … I’ve heard of people being penalized trying to pass off that they’ve self-taught themselves a language and it turns out to be one of their native tongues…
