nyu probably only reach. others matches

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1022392-chance-me-stanford-ea-one-last-time.html

I guess advertising our looks and ethnicity is big on CC tonight?

I think you have a pretty good chance. I can’t rate you for each college individually because I don’t know enough about each, but I think yer good.

chance a sexay JAP?:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1025558-h-n-3-m3-0r-w-ll-thr0w-v3g3t-bl3-y0ur-f-3-a.html#post1065830999

so why are u taking calc AB and BC?
otherwise though, ur testing is low for ur gpa and courseload, 1900 and a 27 are pretty stinky compared to a 3.95 gpa

-George Washington University = match

 • American University = safety
 • Boston University = safety
 • UCLA = match, UC Davis, and UC Santa Barbara = safety
 • USC (University of Southern California) = match to safety
 • Syracuse University = safety
 • New York University = bit of a reach, but not too much
 • Fordham University = safety
 • Tulane University = safety
 • Southern Methodist University (SMU) = safety

chance back
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/dartmouth-college/1020044-ed-chances.html

thanks guys… would like to here more responses seeing that this is my last chancing thread!

GWU: very low match/high safety
AU: not too sure, never heard of it before
BU: safety
UCLA: mid reach
UCD/UCSB: safety
USC: low reach
Syracuse: match
NYU: match
Fordham: not sure
Tulane: in
SMU: in

I notice that your test scores are alarmingly low… especially your subject tests. I know you said you weren’t taking any more standardized tests, but getting maybe a 2000+ and 690+ on your SAT reasoning and subject tests, respectively, will improve your chances dramatically, and you’d be able to apply to some better schools. I said UCLA was a reach because of your standardized testing and the fact that you live in Texas. If you lived in Cali your scores would have been just enough for UCLA to be a match. Anyway, good luck and chance me back please!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1024676-please-chance-me-will-chance-back-d.html

Really, test scores are the weak part of your application. Your extracurriculars look good, but honestly, numbers are the most important factor in your application, except for the superprestigious schools that have an overqualified applicant pool, and have the luxury of looking at intangibles.

You might have an edge as an out-of-state kid to UCs. They’re strapped for cash and upping full-pay admissions.

I agree your test scores aren’t as great as the rest of your application, which I think makes UCLA a mid-reach (since they are so number focused in admissions). But as Greekfire mentioned, being out of state does help at UCs. USC will probably also be a mid to low reach. The rest I think you have a good shot at. Best of luck!
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1025533-chances-hyps.html

I’d say the only thing holding you back is your SATs.

 • George Washington University - in
 • American University - in
 • Boston University - in
 • UCLA, UC Davis, and UC Santa Barbara - UCLA is a match, the others are in
 • USC (University of Southern California) - low reach/high match
 • Syracuse University - not familiar, but I’d say in?
 • New York University - high match/low reach, but most likely in
 • Fordham University - not familiar
 • Tulane University - in
 • Southern Methodist University (SMU) - not familiar

chance me back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1023716-chances-upenn-cornell-rice-uc-berkeley-cmu-nyu-boston-c-rd.html

^^ correct me if I am wrong but being an out of state applicant for the UC’s is necessarily Good?… thanks for the replies guys! Keep it coming I need to solidify this once and for all!

Ur definately in everywhere except probably UCLA USC and NYU… which are low reaches…
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1023853-help-me-out-pleaseeeeee-ill-chance-back-anyone-who-chances-me.html

You’re only real reach is NYU, where your scores are a bit below average. UCLA and USC are maybe reaches too. Try raising your score to 2000+ and I think you have a good shot at those “reaches” too.
Please Chance back
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1023241-chance-hot-swede-wharton-other-b-schools-2.html#post1065834208

UCLA and USC harder to get into than NYU. The mid UCs are not safe, they are matches.

For schools like NYU, BU, USC, UCLA etc you need to raise your 1600 math score. 1240 is about a reach for those schools. to have any feeling of safety with those, you need to get up 60 points or so into the 1300’s and above. The only other weakness I can see are the AP scores. I am not sure but I personally believe they are less of an admission factor and more of a placement into classes within the university type thing.

Please chance me.
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1025626-help-forum-buddy-out-his-chances-mixture-dream-schools-targets.html

Thanks for the clarification I was wondering why everyone was saying the mid uc’s were safety’s lol I am an out of state student I would be expecting a high match lolol… thanks for the replies yall… bump!

George Washington University…Match

American University…Match

Boston University…High Match (I think)

UCLA, UC Davis, and UC Santa Barbara…UCLA a low reach

USC (University of Southern California)…Low reach

Syracuse University…Dont know

New York University…High Match

Fordham University…?

Tulane University…High Match

Southern Methodist University (SMU)…Match

bump… Note: I did early action (EA) to Tulane, Fordham, and SMU all of them non-binding obviously

UCLA = high reach

UC Davis = match

UC Santa Barbara = match/safety

USC (University of Southern California) = low reach

Syracuse University = safety

New York University = low reach
can’t chance for other school cuz i don’t really know about them
most of the reach school is cuz your sat I score is a bit low, like you’ll need at least 2000+ in order to compete for UCLA

please chance me, too.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1026384-please-chance-me-ucla-usc-nyu-cornell-carnegie-mellon-other-ucs.html

George Washington University - match

American University - idk, match prob

Boston University - match/high match

UCLA, UC Davis, and UC Santa Barbara - not sure, but oos so I’d say high match/low reach

USC (University of Southern California)- mid reach

Syracuse University - high match

New York University - mid reach

Fordham University - match

Tulane University - idk, probably in

Southern Methodist University (SMU) - idk, but probably in
