Will international acceptance rates drop this year?

With the increased RD competition this year due to the record number of applicants, will Harvard tend to admit fewer internationals to make room for the very large qualified pool of US citizens and PRs?

Just wondering=)

Only Harvard can answer that for sure, but my guess is that the proportion of international students in the incoming class will remain about the same. Having the diversity of international students around is considered to be an important part of the educational experience at most American universities, and Harvard is no exception.

Being a private school, Harvard is under no legal obligation to make room for a specific number of US citizens or Massachusetts residents. They can build their class however they see fit.

I think they will still keep it at the 10% level for internationals.

okie, thanks guys=)
