Will it be hard for me to get into a top AE grad school?

<p>I'm currently a mechanical engineer, there isn't an AE program offered at my university. There are some professors with AE PHD's or combined ME&AE. So I was wondering if i did undergrad research in ME related fields, will I be able to get into a let's say top 10 school for AE even tho my undergrad research was more ME related? This is assuming my GPA, GREs, LORs, etcs... are pretty good.</p>

<p>I research I want to do is AE related, but there’s barely anything AE related, cause we don’t have an AE program</p>
