Will it be viewed negatively if I have one year without a science class due to a scheduling

I am asking this for my s: Will it be viewed negatively by the most selective college if I have one year without a science class due to a scheduling conflict? I am a hs sophomore, I have already taken 3 honor sciences, and plan to take an AP science in senior year. But I cannot put a science in my junior year. I will be studying in social science major in colllege. Please give me some advice and help, thank you

Looks like you will have four years of science, including one at the advanced (AP) level. Assuming that you have all of biology, chemistry, and physics covered, there does not seem to be anything to worry about from the perspective of amount of science needed for college admissions.

No it probably won’t hurt. If you are really worried a GC can put a note in her recommendation that scheduling conflicts made it impossible to fit in a science junior year.

ucbalumnus and mathmom: thank you so much
