Will it matter if I take these classes as an undergrad when applying to grad school?

I’m starting as a freshman this fall and on my schedule I have four honors classes (math, chem, writing, and a humanities) equaling 13.5 credit hours (ideally 15, but I don’t want to be super overwhelmed my first semester) in addition, I have a full ride scholarship so I’m taking a couple outdoor recreation classes just for fun, they aren’t time consuming, I get credit for them, and they’re free so why not? I’m just wondering if when I apply to grad school, having these classes on my schedule will make it look like I’m just taking a bunch of easy classes. Even if I weren’t taking those classes, I would still only have the original four classes, I wouldnt try and add in another important class. I just figure as long as I do well in all of my classes, especially the classes that apply to my major, it shouldn’t matter what else is on my transcript right? Or does it?

Grad schools will look at your overall record. A couple of courses in outdoor recreation on your transcript won’t matter for graduate admissions. Many students have several physical activity or recreational activity courses (usually only 0 to 2 credits each) on their transcripts, either because their school has a PE requirement or because they just wanted to learn a sport or physical skill for personal reasons.

Take the classes. It won’t matter for grad school admissions.
