Will low freshman grades ruin me for USC?

I didn't do very well during freshman year because I was going through a lot of personal issues, and I didn't have stellar teachers..so my GPA was a mediocre 3.0.
However, the next two years I stepped up and challenged myself, taking APs and honors and achieving a 3.8 sophomore year (weighted) and a 4.5 junior year (weighted) with 5s on the APUSH and AP bio AP test.
I achieved a 2120 on the SAT and an 800 on the Math II SAT 2 and a 720 on the US History SAT II.
I'm projecting a 4.6 for 1st semester senior year grades.
Extra curriculars: I've been volunteering at a hospital since freshman year, working my way up to more than 200 hours
I've been a member of NAHS since my sophomore year, and I served as a secretary my junior year and I'm going to be VP my senior year.
I teach a class at my sunday school and have been a committed member of my sunday school since I was ten.
I also have a very strong essay topic and plan to major in comp sci
Do I have a chance?

I think you definitely have a chance. To be honest, your freshmen yr GPA was definitely on the low side but you’ve clearly improved significantly, which will help your chances because colleges like to see improvement.

Thanks
I know that my freshman grades sucked…and it totally ruined my cumulative GPA…it’s a 3.36 UW and a 3.7 W
But I hope improvement will make up for it
I really want USC

You have a chance, but you should retake the SAT and aim for a solid 2200+ and apply early decision if you can.

USC doesn’t offer early decision :frowning: but I took the June SAT…
I’m pretty sure that USC uses the highest from each category from all the times that you take the SAT and uses that as the score

yeah…I applied to USC and they do use score choice! And I agree with @cortana in this case. You certainly don’t need a 2200+ for USC but I’m thinking that b/c your GPA is not that high, a higher SAT score might be able to compensate for that.

After the June SAT, my SAT score is a 2170, so I’m guessing that a 50 point increase will help
