Dear CC community,
We all know many colleges that require 2 subject tests, some even three, however, say a student has taken 4 SAT subject tests, with 750 being the lowest score; are all 4 subject tests considered into determining the student, or is it only the two highest subject tests?
There are in fact none that require three, except some colleges that otherwise do not require subject tests require three from home schooled applicants. One college, Georgetown, strongly recommends three but does not require them. All colleges that require subject tests of most or all applicants require two. Almost all of those will use the highest two while not using the rest. Harvard and Princeton will consider any sent but assert the highest two are the most important. Regardless, there is no harm in sending all if good scores and let the colleges determine which ones to consider.
Most colleges say that everything you submit will be considered. If you are applying to most selective schools, I would take between 4 and 7.
