I was accepted into Brown University earlier this week, and I am a little worried. No…I’m REALLY worried. AP Calculus is killing me, and I can’t seem to get a hold of it, so I don’t see any way around getting a C in the class. Will Brown toss me out?

I maintained a rigorous schedule, Calculus being 1 of my four AP classes.

If it seems like I probably won’t have a chance at staying at Brown, I might just go to Berkeley or UCLA and stop worrying about it…I don’t want to get rescinded and then have no place to go. =(

Any opinions?

I severely doubt that they would. I’m sure it would take Ds or suspenion/expulsion to get Brown to revoke an acceptance. But thats just my guess. My advice would be to get in touch with some current Brown students and ask them.

I recently spoke to the guy who interviewed me for Brown, and asked him the same question. I’m not really concerned about my grades…but just wanted to be safe, just in case I develop a nasty bout of senioritis ;). He told me to not get any Ds, less than 4 Cs, and no felonies (haha). Brown doesn’t want to rescind your acceptance, there’s a reason they accepted you out of SO many other people, it’s because they want you at their school!

Of course, if you want to be completely sure, I would suggest calling Brown to see what they have to say.
